Course Locations 2025
Genius Loci: In the holistic context described, the course locations—with their atmosphere, aesthetics, and history—are essential elements that complete the mosaic.
Classical Weimar, as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers a unique cultural foundation, with exceptional spaces and atmospheres. Among them is the Schießhaus, built in 1805 by Johann Heinrich Gentz after a journey to Italy, designed in the style of Palladio as Weimar’s first ballroom—an ideal setting for the theme “On the tracks of Palladio, Monteverdi, and Galileo.” In addition, the city offers parks, Bach-related sites, the city palace, Belvedere, and much more.
Exemplary “places of origin” for the themes of the 2025 course cycle are the two Palladian villas near Vicenza and the selected venues in Venice, where we will work and perform.
