The Course Concept
MusicMosaic is a course format that aims to fill a gap in the traditional training of early music.
It offers a concentrated integration of dance, theatre, literature, architecture, and other disciplines as essential foundations for musical practice, accessible to all participants.
In 2025, the focus will be on the theme “Music, Dance and Stage around 1600 – in the footsteps of Palladio, Monteverdi and Galileo”, exploring a pivotal period in European music.
This era, marked by radical innovations across the arts and sciences at the turn of the 17th century, continues to shape artistic expression to this day.
The individual courses are structured as modules. Each course can be taken independently and forms a coherent unit in itself. At the same time, all three courses and their modules create a meaningful whole. Through recurring themes and repertoire with subtle, diverse variations, and thanks to the exceptional course locations that resonate with the themes, MusicMosaic enables a rich and coherent learning experience.
Participation in the final performances is an integral part of the courses.
